Register an SMS sender ID

Request the name your SMS come from, what documents to attach, and how long approval takes.

A sender ID is the name your recipients see as the sender of your SMS, for example MyShop. Every live SMS is sent with an approved sender ID.

Before you start

  • You need a company on your account. See Set up and verify your company.
  • Prepare two PDF files (up to 10 MB each): the signed agreement and your incorporation certificate.

Request a sender ID

  1. In the sidebar, under SMS, open Sender IDs.
  2. Select Create Sender ID.
  3. Enter the Sender Name: up to 11 letters and digits, with no spaces or symbols.
  4. Select Download template to get the agreement, sign it and upload it as the Signed Agreement.
  5. Upload your Incorporation Certificate and submit.

Approval

New sender IDs start as Pending. Because of market regulations, the review can take up to two weeks. Once Approved, the sender ID appears in the Sender ID list when you send SMS.

  • Rejected: edit the sender ID to fix the issue and resubmit it for review.
  • Editing an approved sender ID sends it back for approval.
  • Deleting a sender ID is permanent, and any message sent with it afterwards fails.
